Mosquito Lagoon and East Central Florida
Finally the Mosquito Lagoon waters are clearing up and dropping!!
As this happens redfish will start schooling up and eating well.
Small schools of 5-10 fish can be found tailing really hard in the super
shallow grass gorging on the many shrimp that are hiding there.
l
These fish are really aggressive and can be caught by using a live shrimp or many types of artificial lures
like DOA shrimp. Aqua Dream spoons. Your approach has to be with silent or these fish will dissapear
in a hurry. Trophy seatrout are one of the smartest and weary fish on the flats. Free lined mullet or a
topwater plug will get their attention!!
A slow stealthy approach is so important when stalking either redfish or seatrout, as they can be exremely
spooky. Keep the sun at your back to give you a better chance to see the fish before they see you!!
Patience and a stealthy approach will guarantee you results on your next flats adventure.
Let Capt. Tony take you on a fishing trip of a lifetime!!!
