A New Knot

  • Here's a new Unifilament  knot that's supposed to work very well with Berkley's new NanoFil line. It looks like it would work for most monofilament lines to me. I'm giving it a shot.

  • Thanks for sharing. I'd be curious how long it takes to tie, once you have some what perfected it. I only bring up time, because I change lures very often and I can tie a basic loop knot in about 5 seconds. When you're on a school, every seconds counts.

  • Jeremy,

There seems to be some controversy over what knot to use with the new Berkley NanoFil lines. This one was simply recommended by Berkley. I haven't used the NanoFil but I did tie this knot a few times, and I must agree with you, that it is quite time consuming. Personally, for speed, ease & strength, I prefer the Trilene knot. If you're not familiar with it, you can find it here: gafflife.com/.../trilene-knot-how-to-tie-a-trilene-knot.aspx thanks to James.
