Peacock Bass

  • photo.JPG

Living in South Florida, I have developed a passion for getting out and finding "honey holes", especially those that are holding Peacock bass...Only found in South Florida, South America, and Hawaii, the Peacock population took a blow when we were hit with cold front after cold front two years ago..I'm proud to say they have made a strong comeback and I've been fortunate enough to find many locations that are full of them. If you're ever in South Florida and looking for some "once in a lifetime" action, I highly advise getting out there and hooking in to some...Any questions about targeting this rare species, feel free to contact me...

  • Would love to catch one of those guys. Live in Miami, but focus mostly on the saltwater.

  • The only freshwater fish (In America) that gets me pumped! They are so amazing looking

  • Where in South Florida do you catch them?

  • @ Justin...I've caught them throughout Broward and Miami-Dade county...Luckily I have a tons of spots around my house where I can catch them on a regular basis...If you're ever in the area and interested in hooking in to some, just let me know...

  • That is so awesome. I think they are such a sweet lookin fish. Ok thanks so much

  • Reel-Deal, GAFF will be in the area for the Miami boat show, and I know myself and out editor, Matt, would love to catch some Peacocks. If you would be interested in getting together and maybe showing us the ropes, let me know. send me an email james@gafflife.com
