Nuts & Bolts of Fishing’s Junior Pro-staffer “Lunker” Louie Echols and I (aka: Riverrat) thoroughly enjoyed participating in the recent, two week long, American Angler Challenge "Kick off" tournament sponsored by GAFF Magazine. Of course we enjoyed winning first place (& $500.00) in the Largemouth Bass category with this monster even more.

It added a new degree of excitement to a sport that he and I are already excited about and love dearly. Since you had to be 18 to enter, I’m the one that caught and is holding the winning fish. However since he was with me every step of the way, rain, shine, and wind (thanks Beryl), we are opening a savings account in his name, and the winnings will go to him. We'd like to extend a great big "THANKS" to GAFF and James Goding for making this new on-line tournament possible. This has definitely made a very positive impact upon Louie, and we look forward to fishing many more of these tournaments.
